What are FaithStories?

Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story.

They cried out to the LORD in their trouble and He delivered them from their distress. Let them give thanks to the LORD for His unfailing love. Psalm 107:2

I’m redeemed! That means I have a story to tell!!

My family has experienced the joys of life as well as the difficulties of living in this world. My firstborn arrived during my dad’s ten-month battle with cancer. A few years later when my husband, our two sons, and I settled into ministry in a new church family, a cancer diagnosis came my way. Our first two years in our new church consisted of three surgeries and six-months of chemo, while caring for two young sons several hundred miles away from family!

God was faithful! He provided for our every need during the time of surgeries and chemo!

Trust in the Lord and do good … Take delight in the Lord; He will give you the desires of your heart… Commit your way to the Lord; Trust in Him … Be still before the Lord; Wait patiently for Him. (Psalm 37: 3-7)

Ups and downs shape our existence… The highs and lows define our human condition. The hard times grow us up in the faith. They condition us, strengthen us, and make us useful for God’s Kingdom.  Our testimonies become our FaithStories!

This blog is a collection of the life-stories of Christ-followers who face life day-by-day believing that God will provide no matter what. God’s hand of provision is seen in each life – a common thread of GRACE and SECOND CHANCES!

Other people may doubt my theology, but my FaithStory is personally alive and real. Sharing what God has done in my life is at the heart of sharing my faith, especially when I demonstrate my FaithStory with godly living!

Have you shared your story of faith with your children? Your family? Your friends? Will you share it in 2015?

You who are redeemed …. Let’s tell our story … our FaithStory!

To share your FaithStory, email it to debbieh@gfbc.org. Names will be changed and your story will be written in such a way to focus on the LORD, the Author of our faith.
